Time Lapse Update

The Time Lapse piece is still a work in progress, the stationary setting is finished but I need to spend a lunch in the cafeteria drawing the people and the outlines of their figures with different shades.

Progress: From a mouses perspective

This is my piece, from a mouses perspective, it is no where near finished but I am adding pastel coloring to it. I feel the pastels will make the image pop and give a clearer view of the pieces message.

Time Lapse

I have started my time lapse piece, using the NCHS lounge or "cafeteria" as my setting. I am doing a rough draft of a lunch period and then all three lunch periods combined for my final piece.

New Project

The goal for my new blog project is to have a set of 3 final drawings from a light-bulb's perspective. I am working on a piece now from a mouses perspective and then I am going to do my second exercise on a time lapse. The time lapse will include a setting and outlines of the people passing through, the deeper the shading the longer the length of time that they were in the room or setting.

Final Image

Incorporating shadow and line as well as bringing the setting in with a mysterious headless animal made my drawing really interesting. There is sort of an open ended view to this piece which makes me think.

Exercise #2

The next exercise in which I am in the process of is drawing a large mammal. I am using my sketchbook to practice shapes, then taking these shapes and connecting them to create a full animal. After these steps are taken I can use detail to complete the exercise.
This is a picture of my first exercise, which was a simple sketch of four branches, from observation. My mom is a florist therefore the greenery is available at my house.
